Safe Hands Pet Care Terms and Conditions

The client here to agrees as follows:

TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

 

1. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd and its Walkers/ Sitters/ Host Families agree to provide services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd or its Walkers/Sitters/ Host Families, unless arising from negligence on the part of Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd.

 

2. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. and its Walkers/Sitters/ Host Families shall not be held responsible for the loss, injury, death, or actions of any pet that the client has let outside or has instructed the Sitter/Walker/ Host Families to allow outside while Sitter/Walker/ Host Family is not there. This includes pets with pet flaps, outdoor pets & dogs off the lead, where permitted.

 

3. The client understands that all pets (where appropriate) must have a veterinary surgeon and must be up to date on all the annual vaccinations, including kennel cough and prevention for worms, fleas, mites, ticks and mange. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. or the Host Family will not be liable in the event the client’s dog is infected or becomes unwell while in their care.

 

4. All pets with electronic fences must wear their collars with fresh batteries. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. is not responsible for any animals that get out of their perimeter.

 

5. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. does not diagnose, make prognoses, therapy decisions and we do not offer veterinary services. Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinary surgeon. However, the Client agrees that Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd and their Walkers/Sitters and Host families can make any decisions regarding their dog’s health/welfare, providing it is acting in the best interest of their dog and is on the advice of a qualified veterinary surgeon. Alternatively, the client will provide an emergency contact number for someone to make these decisions on their behalf. The Client agrees to pay any vet bills that may be incurred on their return.

 

6. Safe Hands Pet Care will not sit for acutely ill animals or those with uncontrolled medical conditions. We suggest the pet be boarded with a vet.

 

7. Safe Hands Pet Care does not accept aggressive animals. Animals required to wear a muzzle in a public place, under the control of Dogs regulations 1998, may be accepted at the Sitter’s/ Host Families discretion. Should any dog show aggressive tendencies during a pet sit or home board, the client accept that the dog will be placed in a dog boarding kennel or with the client’s emergency contact until their return and that this will be subject to a €25 transfer charge.

 

8. Should the client’s dog’s behavior become uncontrollable, destructive or unreasonable, they accept that the dog(s) will be placed in a dog boarding kennel or with the Client’s emergency contact until their return and that this will be subject to a €25 transfer charge. With a home board placement, the Client agrees to pay the cost of any damage caused by their dog to a Host Family home.

 

9. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. will not walk unruly or untrained dogs or dogs that choke themselves on their lead. With our Home Boarding / Pet sitting placement, all dogs must be walked on a lead; exceptions may be made at the Host Family/ Walkers/ Sitters discretion. The Client agrees that if they specify that their dog can be exercised off the lead, Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd and their Host Families / Walkers / Sitters will not be liable for their dog actions.

 

10. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. will not accept time specific calls as we cannot guarantee specific times accurately. A three hour window is acceptable. With our Home Boarding placements, the Client agrees that if their dog is not delivered or ready for collection by the Host Family, on the start date of their booking, they will be liable for the full payment of €25 per 24 hours.

 

11. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. will not be responsible for any keys the client has asked to be mailed. Where Clients keys are held on file (in a secure environment) with Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. the clients agrees to supply two set of keys. The Client agrees to pay for key cutting if two sets of keys are not supplied and a €10 charge if the Client requests the return of their keys.

 

12. Office hours are between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m, Group Dog Walks 9a.m - 1p.m / 2p.m - 5p.m. and pet visiting hours between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. and services are usually completed during these time unless we are behind schedule.

 

13. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. reserves the right to deny service or terminate service because of safety concerns, financial concerns, inappropriate or uncomfortable situations.

 

14.Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. reserves the right to take pet(s) to vet. Client is responsible for all charges.

 

15. In the event of owner’s unforeseen circumstances such as illness or death and in the event of inclement weather or natural disaster. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. suggests the Client have a responsible party to take care of their pet(s). If they have such a party a contact number should be left with Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. otherwise we will be obliged, in these extreme circumstances, to leave your pet(s) with the appropriate agents.

 

16. Payment is expected on receipt of Invoice. Invoices are sent out by email, monthly for Dog Walking and at the end of a Pet Sit, Home Board. A 50% deposit is required to secure all Pet Sitting and Home Boarding bookings. Only once the deposit has been received, Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd will release the Client contact information to the Host Family or Pet Sitter. Note: additional items such as pooper scooping (pets home), food, supplies etc. will cost extra

 

17. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd shall not be in any way responsible for the acts or omissions of the Walkers, Sitters and Host Families whilst in the premises of the client or whilst caring for the animal the subject matter of this agreement.

 

18. It is the responsibility of the Client to obtain an up to date dog licence for their own dogs.

 

19. With a Home Boarding placement, the Client agrees to provide their dogs usual bedding and enough of their regular food and medication to last the stay. In the event the Host Family has to purchase additional food, a receipt will kept and the Client agrees to pay any additional charges incurred.

 

20. The Client agrees to contact Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd within 3 days of meeting their Host Family/ Pet Sitter if they are unhappy for any reason. Failure to comply with the above will forfeit any possible refund.

 

21. All Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. Clients’ dogs must wear a collar bearing the name and address of the owner.

 

22. The Client agrees to authorize a veterinary surgeon to euthanize their pet in extreme circumstances after all reasonable attempts have been made to contact the client or their emergency contact.

 

23. The Client agrees that for any future bookings, they will book through Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd will not take any responsibility for bookings made directly with the Host Families/ Walkers and Pet Sitters.

 

24. Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd respect Client confidentiality and will not release any information regarding their Clients to any other third party, except Walkers/ Sitters/ Host Families appointed by Safe Hands Pet Care Ltd.
